Civil Procedure- Identical claims not required: ‘substantially similar’ with conclusive effect is sufficient 

Summary disposition is proper under MCR 2.116(C)(6) when two suits involve the same parties and are based on the same or substantially the same cause of action. All claims need not be identical; however, if a judgment is rendered in the first action, it must be conclusive on the parties with respect to the matters involved in the second.
